FAQ’s

Will my bouquet be different to the image I see online?

Our bouquets will always vary in colour and flower content from day-to-day. This is due to change in growing seasons, the live auctions in Holland and stock selling out, human error at some point down the chain and sometimes it’s just as simple as Mother Nature’s wonderful unpredictability. We take reference from the studio photos of the bouquets you see online, and their list of potential colour combinations in the description rather than trying to match the image as best as possible which makes for much better work. We will always prioritise our artistic license as part of the wonder of going to a florist is to have your bouquets individually created and designed for you. It’s also a small part of the reason why we are more expensive than your local supermarket. You will find a list of potential colours that could be in your bouquet in each product's description.

Why are flowers so expensive?

High quality flowers are always expensive to buy, even for us! But you aren’t just paying for the flowers. You pay for the highly skilled professional behind the flowers who has spent time curating colour palettes and sourcing product from esteemed wholesalers. Flowers pass through many hands before they reach their final destination from farm, transit, auction, wholesaler and finally retail florist. Supermarkets and corner shops cut this chain in half by either owning their own flower farms, buying everything ready made from the wholesaler which goes straight to sale or by simply not turning a profit on flowers and using them as shop front decoration. Cheap flowers = less hands in the chain, high turnover and lower grade quality. Often they are picked by supermarkets for their longevity and are sold at below wholesale prices which gives an unrealistic view of price point to the customer and gives retail florists and some poor old flowers a bad wrap; think carnations, tulips and chrysanthemums. These are actually majority high priced flowers but are typically regarded as cheap. I hope this goes to some way of explaining why we are more expensive although this is certainly not a criticism of corner shop flowers which I LOVE! Flowers should always be accessible, but the customer must also not feel ripped off.

On top of this you may have noticed a more recent escalation in flower prices. At the start of the pandemic growers had to burn the majority of their flowering fields as waste, as the demand for flowers dwindled to nothing with the closures of shops, events, weddings and offices. Farmers were hesitant to re-plant lots of crop when they had been hit so hard financially so they planted for the future economically. The cost of flowers skyrocketed once florists could open for delivery as the supply didn’t meet the demand. As well as this the teams physically harvesting the flowers had to be reduced due to space restrictions that were put in place. Pair this with delays for the lorries at Calais and less flights all over the world and it results in higher prices for us and the customer.

Can I choose my own colour palette?

Absolutely. We do bespoke everything so drop us an email and we can create you something fabulous.

Do you only deliver to your listed postcodes?

We hand deliver to the postcodes listed and can use a courier for postcodes further afield within London. Before placing your order drop us an email with the full address of the recipient and we can give you a quote for delivery. Unfortunately we do not offer Nationwide delivery...yet!

Why are my flowers dying at different times?

This is completely normal. Each type of flower, and each individual flower has a different life span so you will find that some flowers will die quicker than others in your arrangement. Remove any dead or dying flowers from your arrangement to keep it looking fresh. To find out more on how to get the most out of your flowers click here

My flowers have died prematurely, what do I do?

We expect your arrangement to last up to 5 days, although some more delicate pieces of flower and foliage may die before then. If you feel your bouquet looks a bit sad after 1-2 days we ask that you contact us straight away via email with some imagery of the bouquet so we can find out what is going on. We will only accept complaints within this time frame. For further information please refer to our Terms and Conditions page here.
