This privacy policy will explain how Goldstones Flowers uses the personal data we collect from you when you use our website.

What data do we collect?

We collect your name, telephone number, email address, billing address, delivery address and card details.

We also collect the name, telephone number and delivery address of the recipient (if applicable)

We have an opt in process to our email mailers (marketing). If you opt in or sign up then we collect your name and email address which is stored via Mail Chimp.

What data do we store?

We store all personal identifiers except for your card details. Some of your card details are stored by Strike (our e-commerce platform) so that we can issue refunds. If you have signed up to our newsletter then we also store your name and email address in our marketing site, Mail Chimp. You must opt in to be contacted by us and you can opt out at any time by clicking ‘unsubscribe’ on the email or by emailing orders@goldstonesflowers.co.uk.

How do we use your data?

We use your data to full-fill your order: to take payment, deliver or to communicate with you or the recipient about your order.

What data do we receive?

We may also receive personal information indirectly from our payment platform Strike if for example they have detected fraudulent activity on your card. We may use the information that you have given us so they can run a check before your payment in processed. Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:

(a) Your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting orders@goldstonesflowers.co.uk

(b) We have a contractual obligation.

(c) We have a legal obligation.

How we store your personal information 

Your information is securely stored via our domain provider Squarespace.

We keep a history of previous orders in the interest of returning customers and statistical and accounting purposes for the company. We will always carefully consider how long we keep personal data and review our information/ erase or anonymise personal data when we no longer need it. We have appropriate processes in place to comply with individuals’ requests for erasure under ‘the right to be forgotten’.

Under data protection law, you have rights including:

Your right of access - You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information. 

Your right to rectification - You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete. 

Your right to erasure - You have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances. 

Your right to restriction of processing - You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances. 

Your right to object to processing - You have the the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.

Your right to data portability - You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
